Abstract

In the paper we present a new operation called fuzzy projection that extends flexible querying languages. It consists in fuzzification of tuples for all linguistic variables defined on domains of attributes specified in a query. In result, tuples with linguistic variables, instead of original values, are displayed. On the basis of fuzzy projection a specific fuzzy group-by operation is introduced. These two operations are implemented as a part of SQLf_j language based on SQLf introduced by Bosc and Pivert.
