Abstract
In this paper an approach is presented to modeling Multi Agent Systems (MAS) as a framework and its implementation as an extension to .NET. The MAS characteristics are identified in the context of the proposed MAS framework. The framework is developed and implemented in VB.NET language based applications. The relevant .NET-based technologies (i.e. Remoting, Services, and Web Services) are assessed for the implementation. A prototype application for dynamic truck scheduling is presented to test theproposed MAS framework and some future research and development work is outlined.
