Abstract
This paper discusses on a seal imprint verification method with rotation invariance. The rotation invariant feature is represented by the absolute value of Fourier coefficients of seal imprint on circles with different radii. The impulse response of finite impulse response (FIR) system having the absolute value of Fourier coefficients of seal imprint on circles with different radii as the input and output is calculated. The resultant impulse response of the FIR system is used here as the feature of seal imprint. Seal imprint can be verified evaluating the distance between the impulse responses of the reference and imprint to be verified. Seal imprint verification experiments are given to show the effectiveness of the proposed method.
