Abstract
A method is introduced which allows the formalization of the definition of EDP program input data structure and meaning. Thus it is feasible to automatize a large part of the recognition and plausibility checking of many different kinds of data, allowing these functions to be performed by a single general data recognition and checking program — the goal being a higher flexibility in the input of large amounts of data.
