Abstract

To develop an expert system which solves the legal problem, the predicate logic and the frame structure are not always appropriate, because they lack in the ability to describe temporal information. KRIP is an expert system of the Patent Law. The knowledge base of this system is built in the language KRIP/L that is integration of the frame structure and the interval logic and that is implemented in Prolog. In this paper, the specification of KRIP/L and the organization of KRIP system are reported.
