Zusammenfassung
Fertigungssysteme werden mit Hilfe von sehr unterschiedlichen Werkzeugen modelliert und entwickelt, z.B. CAD für die mechanische Konstruktion, CAE für die elektrische Projektierung und IDEs für die Programmierung der Steuerungen. In der Regel fokussieren sich die Werkzeuge auf einen speziellen Teilaspekt der Produktionseinheit und erzeugen Dateien, die nur von dem eigenen Programm verwendet werden können. Im Rahmen der Modularisierung der Fertigungseinheiten (Baukastenprinzip) wurde von Amerongen und Hewit der Begriff Mechatronik-Objekt (MO) eingeführt, der alle Informationen einer Fertigungskomponente abstrakt als Einheit auffasst.
Dieser Beitrag erweitert das Modell so, dass zueinander in Relation stehende Informationen von Datenobjekten eines MO synchronisiert werden können. Es basiert auf dem Konzept ganzheitlicher mechatronischer Objekte (holistic mechatronic objects, HMO), die Produktionseinheiten und deren Datenobjekte zusammen mit den Zugriffsmethoden kapseln. HMO eignen sich gut für die 3D-Simulation von Automatisierungssystemen auf einem Rechen-Cluster. Sie basiert dabei auf den aus dem CAD-System exportierten VRML-Daten, die mit der Simulation des für die Steuerung vorgesehenen Cluster verknüpft wird. Im Ergebnis wird so eine zeitlich parallele Entwicklung der mechanischen Konstruktion und der Steuerungssoftware ermöglicht, die in einer maßstabsgetreuen Simulationsumgebung getestet werden kann — Stichwort Digtale Fabrik.
