Abstract

In this paper we discuss methodological issues connected with the design of computer systems communicating interactively with their human users in the human language. The methods of acquisition of the initial linguistic knowledge, necessary at the early steps of the design of NL interfaces, are being systematically implemented for Polish language at the Adam Mickiewicz University. The key point of our methodology is creation of an environment for systematic observation of the human user interaction with a “machine”.
