Abstract
One of the main contributions of the internet “revolution” is to make the concept of connectivity the efault state in the minds of individuals and enterprises. Whereas previously it was very difficult to imagine connecting the systems of an enterprise to any other enterprise, to day business managers are accepting such connectivity as inevitable. This new class of applications will be referred to as XERP (cross ERP) in this talk. The author discusses the nature of XERP applications and how they differ from ERP applications. We will also discuss some of the practical problems encountered in making XERP applications a reality.
