Abstract
Workflow technology is considered nowadays as an essential technique to improve the effectiveness and productivity of business processes. Because different type organizations and different cooperative methods are needed for specific business, team work is very complex. Current workflow management system does not provide enough support to the team work. In order to deal with the complexity of team work, a workflow model supporting team work is defined in the paper firstly. Based on this model, a person allocation policy language PAPL is proposed to represent the construction rules of team and person allocation requirements of task. At the same time, the concept of work transaction is introduced to reflect the special requests of team work. The executing method based on rewriting mechanism for person allocation policy is provided and the producing mechanism of work transactions is discussed. At the end of the paper, the architecture of a flexible workflow management system supporting team work is given out.
