Abstract
The paper discusses a structured light setup for fast, one-shot 3D acquisition. The projection pattern consists of equidistant, vertical stripes. The main problem is the determination of the stripe-boundaries. They are extracted with sub-pixel accuracy by a pattern-specific snake. An initialization procedure yields the rough contours. Sub-pixel accuracy is reached through an iterative relaxation process. The labeling problem is automatically solved if all boundaries are located. Interpolation guarantees that the correct number of boundaries is initialized.
