Abstract

In this paper, we present a concept of a tool environment for application monitoring on the Grid. An architecture for a monitoring system is proposed and communication protocol between parts of the monitoring environment is discussed. We also focus on performance issues concerning the gathering of monitoring data and scalability of the monitoring system.
