Abstract
This talk will describe the Sprint approach to providing new and integrated services to the customers. The problem will be addressed from various standpoint, from backbone and access loop technologies to internet services and applications. We will start from the current technology deployed by Sprint (including the ION service) and see what is the expected evolution middle term and long term. This talk will focus more on the technological aspects than on marketing ones, even if customer requirements will be the central focus point justifying described technologies. Among the discussed technologies, we will pay a particular attention to multicast deployment, quality of service with regard to enabling new applications.
