Pragmatic Features of the Electronic Discourse in the Internet

Abstract

The paper is dedicated to the problem of pragmatic analysis of specfic text represented on Web pages. The Internet, being now one of the most widespread electronic means of communication, uses its special structure and language which have number of features. This paper represents the attempt of revealing of these features on the ex- ample of different home pages wrote in English and Russian languages. Two classes of speech acts - assertives and directives - are revealed and described.
