Abstract
The field of evolutionary computation (EC) is in a stage of tremendous growth as witnessed by the increasing number of conferences, workshops, and papers in the area as well as the emergence of several journals dedicated to the field. It is becoming increasingly difficult to keep track of and understand the wide variety of new algorithms and new applications.
