Abstract
This paper discusses current research in Nijmegen on Extended Affix Grammars, in particular its pivot: the translator generator Programmar, designed a few years ago and now about to be completed. Programmar generates translators from Extended Affix Grammars, essentially without restrictions. The grammars may be arbitrarily (locally) ambiguous, even at the semantic evaluation level. The semantic flow is unrestricted, except for certain circular dependencies. Programmar generates practically useable exhaustive evaluators, which employ prompt evaluation in order to fulfil the requirements of affix directed parsing.
