Abstract
DIPSY-E is software environment for development of real-time expert systems. Since time varying events or space distribution dependent objects appear in these systems, the temporal and spatial data is included in DIPSY-E. Problems of incomplete information and unreachable data in such systems can be solved by means of DIPSY-E default assumptions mechanisms.
The temporal componenet is defined on the level of object attributes, while the spatial component is defined on the level of objects. Besides an absolute temporal component, taken from a real clock, a relative component taken from a symbolic clock is introduced.
The temporal and spatial relations, functions and procedures are introduced.
The default assumptions are based on default values. These can be defined on levels of either an attribute value, a rule condition or a rule conclusion.
