Abstract
This paper addresses a new series expansion method of image reconstruction called iterated normalized backprojection (INB). The method features a high rate of convergence, generates high quality images, and is easily parallelizable. The INB algorithm with the projection matrix kept and processed in a compressed form is given, and compared against iterated discrete backprojection.
