Abstract
This paper evaluates an overhead introduced by components that build a framework for inter-ORB request level bridge. It shows that TypeCode processing complexity is the most influential factor that determines efficiency of almost each generic bridge. This has been experimentally proved by evaluation of the components of the implemented half-bridge between Orbix 1.31 and IIOP domain.
