Abstract

One of the central themes of formal methods is the mathematical modelling of digital systems Furthermore, the new and evolving process of developing digital systems can use techniques derived from older engineering disciplines. Hence, there is interest in investigating how to model digital systems and how to model the digital engineering process. A clearer understanding of both classes of models should lead to increased quality and predictability of digital systems.
