Abstract

This paper presents and proves a polynomial algorithm to generate particular planar maps (i.e., planar embeddings of planar graphs). These planar maps are constructed from a set of building blocks. Each building block is a molecule and the constructed planar maps are larger molecules that may have the properties of cages. Cages are molecules that can absorb smaller molecules such as Carbon dioxide.
