Interoperability Requirements derived from Interoperability Dimensions

  • Conference paper

Abstract

The capability for collaboration is a key success factor for networked enterprises. The paper describes results of an analysis of different cooperation forms according to advantages/chances, disadvantages/risks, requirements for interoperability, requirements for models and requirements for Quality Management. The analysis follows the work done by INTEROP-NOE WP12 on Dimension of Interoperability — 3D Interop. Additionally the analysis is combined with a proposed “Quality Model for Interoperability”, which should be used for Interoperability Audit/Assessment of the capability for cooperation for networked enterprises based on the levels of interoperability proposed by the ATHENA Interoperability Framework. This Quality Model is related to the levels of excellence as defined in the EFQM Model of European Organisation of Quality (EOQ).
