Abstract
In this paper, we show how to decrease the occurrence of car accidents and to instantly detect sudden health problems that occur to the driver. In order to carry out this system, we aim to calculate the risk of safe driving in real time by constructing a system that monitors drivers using radar and observes driver behavior and biological information. Conventionally, observation based on optical sensing has been taken as a method of watching the driver’s situation. In order to realize observation by that method, a sensing device is mounted in the vehicle toward the driver, and the driver’s situation is determined based on the input sensor value. However, the method we propose uses radio waves as sensors. This system determines whether the driver can concentrate on driving by continuing to observe the driver using a radar sensor. By utilizing the Doppler radar, the driver who is driving without contact is always observed. In addition to facial expressions and body movements of the driver, we are intended to acquire heart rate, breathing, sweating on the body surface and so on.
