Abstract
For the elderly who stay in bed for a long time, the bath has many benefits such as keeping the skin clean and hygienic, promoting the blood circulation of the epidermis, and the multifunctional assisted bath robot can well assist the nursing staff for daily cleaning for the elderly. Based on a versatile bathing robot, this paper aims at designing safety aids devices for bath safety during bathing. In view of the condition that the multi-functional bathing robot has direct contact with the bathing water, the waterproof system was designed from the aspects of waterproof structure and material selection. Finally, the integrated prototype of the multi-functional bathing robot was tested to verify the reliability, safety and comfort of its features.
