Abstract

In modern life, home automation can improve the quality of life (QoL), which is an important function and is very convenient. As a result, the popularity of automation has led to the development of “smart homes”. Intelligent systems are mainly developed with the help of sensors, which can provide the system with the information necessary to make human-like intelligent decisions. This research design system allows users to remotely monitor and interact via a global system for mobile (GSM) communications and Bluetooth in a system using a graphical user interface (GUI) based on Android applications on their smartphone. The results of this research system focus on how to use GSM and Bluetooth to provide convenient access to the device. This includes the use of people counting systems, electronic door locks, turning on fans at specific temperatures, monitoring home systems, providing security to switch lighting, etc. Function, and can access the smart home and remote access to those wireless sensor networks. In any case, the overall design of this study is successful, it can effectively remotely control all destination systems, and the communication interface between Arduino UNO board, repeater board, GSM, Bluetooth, and smartphone is seamless. This study effectively uses low cost completing the purpose of a smart home is an important contribution to this research.
