Abstract

Whilst teaching on MOOC has currently enjoyed a great popularity among colleges and universities undergoing a profound reform of teaching method, this article accordingly centers on the creation of online course resources and interaction platforms based upon the idea of service design. Thorough analysis of the course Audio-Video Interaction of the Digital Media Art Department of Beijing City University demonstrated how the idea was formed and the whole procedure of design (including relevant design tools) before presenting the final result. The last part is about the method of applying MOOC-teaching and its future. Specifically speaking, in satisfying users’ needs the whole service system comprises of users, interaction methods, and online platforms, which makes it possible to change or update design and content flexibly to meet different demands. In that regard, service design may play a significant role in improving and developing teaching on MOOC for colleges and universities in China.
