Abstract

This paper outlines the user requirements and the design of the interface components and the interactions of the TouristHub web-based trip planning platform that aims to assist travelers in planning personalized trips. The paper concentrates in the research challenges and the methods used to elicit information from users and other stakeholders and thus construct a set of functional requirements for guiding the design of the platform. It also summarizes a number of use-cases and presents in detail the interface components of the TouristHub trip planning platform.
