Abstract

This paper not only reviews a series of studies on disaster risk zoning in the field of lightning disaster prevention in the past decade, but also combs and evaluates the results and methods of this research direction. It aims to summarize the work of lightning disaster risk zoning in recent years. Research on lightning risk regionalization can be divided into three stages: constructing lightning risk assessment model, classification of lightning disaster level, and classification of lightning disaster area. On the construction of lightning disaster risk assessment model is divided into two main categories: weighted comprehensive evaluation method and the combination evaluation method, the weighted comprehensive evaluation method for weight assignment include: the sampling method, that is simple, cumbersome, subjective, and the average weight method, that is simple to calculate but difficult to distinguish the difference of indicators, and the analytic method with certain objectivity but lack of flexibility in index selection. The combination evaluation method also includes selection of principal component analysis method, entropy method, and cluster analysis method. In the method of lightning disaster classification, most studies mainly adopt two classification methods: one is to classify according to the meteorological disaster classification statistical method. Such methods have certain statistical significance, but the results are rough and cannot be refined to reflect the spatial difference of disaster vulnerability risk, the second is to use the natural breakpoint classification method in GIS to classify, such methods can make the classification level have certain accuracy. In the lightning risk zoning, most studies basically use administrative districts as basic zoning units.
