Abstract
This is a showcase of system engineering design process applied on commercial aircraft health management. Different from normal NRFP design, this paper uses a NFRP process which is from COMAC’s experience more fit for commercial aircraft design. The health management function is new compare to other functions in a commercial aircraft and it is a comprehensive concept formed bottom up from a collection of subfunctions/hardware. The future evolution may come from a top down design to look at it from new perspective. The design process starting from stake holder identification, followed by functional analysis and requirement capture. Some parts of the work have been done in separate paper. This top down design process keeps requirements traceable and can get better understanding of working scenario of aircraft health management system thus helps generate new applications and sub functions.
