Abstract

The purpose of the article is to substantiate the expediency of the gender approach usage in the process of studying the history of social work by future social workers. The analysis of teaching aids was carried out with the use of a gender expertise method, which is aimed at finding in the text and non-textual materials a manual of gender-based discrimination (gender stereotypes, androcentrism, sexism, etc.). Our research was based on the analysis of scientific works , the introduction of innovative forms of educational activities, the survey of participants in an educational process. We focus on the gender approach application in the study of the national history of social work, which will highlight not only the role of women and men in the professionalization of social work but also to make available the world of gender structures that have defined the face of Ukrainian society at different stages of historical development.
