Abstract
Guided by the concept of mutual assistance mode, this paper designs a systematic service design scheme to resolve practical elderly care problems in rural communities, such as the sense of loneliness, low self-worth and monotonous lifestyles among the elderly. On the premise of keeping the basic lifestyle of the elderly in rural communities, multiple elderly care resources are integrated. Through mutual assistance and spontaneously participating community activities among the elderly, the inner vitality of the elderly in rural communities can be inspired; and then, the elderly can be taken cared and comforted within the mode of mutual assistance. Therefore, in such elderly care service system, the elderly will be transformed from being served to participants and contributors. It is hoped that the elderly will realize their self-worth as well as enhance their happiness.
