Abstract

The user experience of consumers in passenger car is critical to their purchase decision-making or daily driving. Based on 76 preliminary influencing factors (PIFs) collected by documentary study, nine main influencing factors (MIFs) to user experience in passenger car are extracted by factor analysis with 989 pieces of valid data. The online surveys are then carried out with Decision-Making Trial and Evaluation Laboratory (DEMATEL) questionnaires to evaluate the interactions between any two MIFs. The Prominence and the Relation for MIFs are calculated after DEMATEL operations of 468 pieces of valid data and the causal diagram is drawn. The result shows that three key influencing factors (KIFs) including ‘Configuration of vehicle in safety’, ‘The room size of the interior’ and ‘Configuration of vehicle in luxury features’ are KIFs dominating consumers’ satisfaction of user experience in passenger car while three factors including ‘Configuration of vehicle in luxury features’, ‘Configuration of vehicle for in-vehicle storage’, and ‘Convenience in use of utilities’ have great influence upon other MIFs, respectively.
