Abstract

The main objective of this work is to carry out a deep analysis of the user experience (UX) of blind users when making use of specialized websites in digital libraries in order to know if they are usable, accessible, useful, easy to learn, among others .

Based on the foregoing, it is expected to know whether or not it is feasible to propose a general or specific support guide to make the corresponding modifications to a website and that it is easy to use by users with visual disabilities.

With the proposal of the guide, it is expected to achieve significant changes in the websites to be able to cover the characteristics and important needs for a blind person when making use of a specialized website.

To evaluate the websites, various user experience tests were carried out with both experts and the end user, within the tests carried out, the heuristic evaluation and the method of thinking aloud by dividing the tasks stand out. which are later evaluated based on specialized metrics to validate if the website is easy to learn, the actions are easy to remember, if the actions or information do not saturate the user, among others.

The research allows to conclude for a first stage that it is necessary to carry out adequate UX evaluations to guarantee that a product, system or service meets the necessary needs of the target users.
