Abstract

Self-directed learning (SDL) is an effective method to model the core technology for STEAM college students. However, STEAM includes immersion technologies and many fields, and learning usually crosses semesters, which is difficult for students to construct personal skill models. The VR scaffold developed based on SDL theory, hints, and expert modeling visualization help students construct their core technical models. The prototype is editable and sets up tasks and levels in a gamified way, and finally shows the learning results.
