Abstract

Process management has been around for about 100 years. However, it only became visible in German university teaching in the late 90s of the 20th century. Business process management (BPM), as offered in the curricula of business informatics and business administration, usually includes the design, implementation, and optimization of processes. In this context, various instruments, competences, procedures, and methods can usually be taught and conveyed. In this tutorial we present a methodology and an analysis of these teaching contents on BPM at German universities.
