Abstract
This paper reports two case studies that use virtualization technologies on guiding human behavior for supporting distributed virtual shopping malls. The first case study is to portray a virtual crowd in front of exhibitions and stores to guide human behavior by creating interest in the exhibitions and stores. The second case study is to investigate whether it is possible to change a customer’s interest in a target store by displaying an alternative stores’ advertisements. We investigate the opportunities to adopt virtualization technologies in our future real world digital services from these two case studies.
