Summary

In this paper, we propose a revised version of the recently proposed two-dimensional Recursive Inverse (2-D RI) adaptive algorithm. Instead of updating the filter coefficients both along the horizontal and vertical directions on the 2-D plane, as in the old 2-D RI algorithm, our new revised algorithm performs the update process simultaneously for every element in the 2-D plane. Simulation results show that the proposed 2-D RI algorithm leads to an improved performance compared to that of the 2-D RLS algorithm and similar performance compared to 2-D RI algorithm with reduced computational complexity.
