Abstract
The venous congestion is a very important kind of feature in iridology. How to detect and analyze the venous congestion is crucial to the automatic iris diagnosis system. Based on the HSI color space, this paper presents an effective method to extract the venous congestion. The iris image will be located and segmented at first, then fuse the H components and S components to quantitate the venous congestion. Experimental results show the validity of this approach.
