Abstract
Virtual teaching has become an innovative challenge at the University of Burgos (UBU). It has been founded under a continuous quality process perspective. Globalization and technology have been a solid support for the Bologna Programs and the online degrees. University of Burgos has set up for the first time during the academic year 14-15 four virtual courses, such as, Virtual Degree of Tourism, Virtual Degree of Spanish: Language and Literature, Virtual Degree in Politic Sciences and Public Management and Virtual Degree in Computer Science Engineering. All of them are worth 240 ECTS (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System) and have been accredited by the University Council (Ministry of Education) after receiving a positive evaluation from the Agency of Quality for the University System in Castilla and León (ASUCYL). Although very recent too, the English Friendly Program was put in place in our university to assist foreign students lacking a sufficient command of the Spanish language. This is done by a series of mandatory actions for all the courses offered under the English Friendly tag. The purpose of this paper is to prove that these two unrelated programs can complement one another and become a powerful tool to promote our courses internationally.
