Abstract

Coughing is well-known and theoretically described process. It can be described as a pathological phenomenon, because it is secondary phenomenon of many diseases. Mathematical analysis as well as its detection (quantification and classification) is solved for many years. This article deals with analysis of the various coughing sound recordings. Three different coughing types are analyzed under the same conditions. Matlab signal processing toolbox is used for this purpose. Theoretical background as well as obtained results are presented and discussed in the paper.
