Abstract

This paper analyses and exemplifies the recreation in the use of preferred public spaces for social meeting, leisure and recreation of the original culture of Ecuadorian emigrants, while they remain outside of their country. The fundamental principles and the characterisation of public intelligent spaces are exposed, in which the use of information and communication technologies are combined with the Internet of Things. This combination of concepts signifies a very important resource that improves the recreation and communication of people who reside in large cities, creating a point of inflection that has a positive impact in the socio-technological development of these people.
