Abstract

This paper introduces the successful methodology adopted for the realization of the short course of Educational Robotics offered to the winners of Brazilian Robotics Olympiad’s theoretical modality and its results. This short course is free-of-charge hands-on robotics course that is annually offered during the Brazilian Robotics Olympiad national finals of the practical component. The students enter the course without knowledge of robotics and finish the three days course able to join in the practical modality. In the last three years 71 students from high school were awarded with the short course and many of them participated in the practical phase the following year.
