Abstract

We attempt to develop a financial knowledge management system, known as FAM (Financial Activity Mining), which is able to digest online multilingual news and conduct financial activity mining. FAM is able to present news on discovered activities or events. Our system is particularly helpful for tracking stock performance of a targeted company or an event, with all the related news collected. Clear presentation of relationships between related activities provides convenient environment for users to monitor the financial market.
