Abstract

Based on our experience in several Knowledge Management projects, in this paper we are going to describe a peer-to-peer-based approach to constructing, mapping and managing collaborative knowledge spaces. The paper describes a shift of paradigms from more formalized approaches in knowledge management to task- and community-orientation. It gives some ideas of how an expert community can nevertheless engineer and contribute to a common knowledge structure, which is based on the integration of personal and peer-to-peer knowledge management approaches. The sketched approach outlines the usage of Wiki web technologies for bottom up knowledge engineering.
