A Meaning Acquisition Model Which Induces and Utilizes Human’s Adaptation

Part of the book series: Lecture Notes in Computer Science ((LNAI,volume 3213))

Abstract

Most studies about investigating a human language/meaning acquisition process and its computational model did not take into account teacher’s adaptation to a learner. In this paper, we propose a speech meaning acquisition model which induces and utilizes teacher’s adaptation, based on the observational results of meaning acquisition process through interaction between human teacher and human learner. As a result, although this model could not learn the meanings of teacher’s instruction perfectly, this model could induced teacher’s adaptation as to instruction strategy.
