Abstract
The project Digital Library Architecture and Application Platform (DLAAP)is a state hi-tech project approved by the State Planning Commission in 2001 and undertaken by the Project Team of Shenzhen Library. The General Plan and Technical Implementation Plan of the project had gained the experts’ recognition in 2002 and the research of the architecture of the system and application platform development had made some achievements. At present a distributed digital library application platform had been developed, which includes digital resources process and inquiry system, library business processing system, reader service and management system, which will be fully put into use at the opening of the new Shenzhen Library.
