Abstract

As far as we know, although various approaches of combining multiple fingerprint matchers have been proposed in the literature, no previous attempts to combine multiple fingerprint registration algorithms have been tried. In this paper, we have presented a novel registration algorithm by cascading a couple of different registration techniques to improve the accuracy of fingerprint matching system. A series of experiments conducted on the public data collection, FVC2002 DB3 set A (800 fingerprints), demonstrates the effectiveness of our method.
