Abstract

We are developing a traffic simulator which executes real-time simulation, so as to make ad hoc control of simulation possible. In these circumstances it is very preferable that entire range of the simulated area should be always displayed simultaneously. For this purpose we are attaching multi-processing feature to the simulator to widen displaying area. We presented it in Asian Simulation Conference 2002. But after that presentation some problems were detected. Those were caused in the synchronization method between processors. To fix those problems we made an improvement to the synchronization method. It was implemented successfully. The evaluation result shows that even for the performance aspect the improved synchronization method gets higher level. We describe the new synchronization method and its evaluation result in this paper.
