Abstract

The goal of this workshop was to look at issues related to the integration of non-functional property expression, evaluation, and prediction in the context of component-based software engineering. The accepted papers looked at the issue from a very broad range of perspectives, such as development process, modelling for analysis vs for construction, or middleware componentisation. The afternoon session was completely used for discussions: discussion topics ranged from the limits of the research domain and the definition of fundamental terms and concepts to issues of compositionality.

The workshop had a very inspiring and productive atmosphere, and we are looking forward to organising future instalments of the series.
