Abstract
The competitiveness of most products and services is determined more and more by quality, time-to-market and cost of the embedded software. To be competitive, companies have to produce high quality software at a low price in a very short time. This can only be achieved by using best software engineering practice. However, in many countries there is a great deficit of appropriately educated software engineers that are able to apply these practices.
