Abstract
In this article, we discuss how to control nonverbal conversational signals (NCS) including eye gazes, noddings and facial expressions displayed by a pair of embodied agents that present various information to their users through their dialogues. NCS convey various kinds of information that is essential to make our face-to-face communication successful. In the previous work on social psychology, it is known that there are interdependences among NCS with different modalities and between those from different persons in conversation with each other. In order to apply this knowledge to the dialogues between embodied agents for information presentation, we propose a procedure to adjust NCS displayed by the agents so that the interdependences among the NCS are properly maintained.
